PROJECT DESCRIPTION
  • To create a hub airport in this region and meet growing air traffic demand of the country
  • Development of infrastructure necessary to build a new modern International Airport and communication link (Expressway, Railway etc.) with the capital city Dhaka
KEY SERVICES
  • Assist in Study on all areas/ factors for selection of a site for construction of the full-fledged international airport; liaise with CAAB and other authorities
  • Assistance in Cost-Benefit & Risk-Benefit analysis and Economic and financial analyses, with Financing & Operation Strategy
  • Conduct Social assessment and prepare Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) report on 3 sites and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for the final location
  • Data collection and investigation through detail engineering surveys, soil investigation including present transportation system
  • Investigation and analyses of at least three alternative sites to select a suitable one for the proposed hub airport
  • Airport site selection and verification (for operation of Code 4F type Aircraft)
  • Geotechnical analyses for sustainability of Runway and associated Airfield Pavement
  • Assist in Air traffic demand forecast and route development plan
  • Assist in Access transportation plan with connectivity to the capital and other major existing road/ rail communication network
  • Assist in Airport operation strategy/ plan, Land use planning, Layout and phasing plan and facilities requirement analysis
  • Conceptual design of passenger terminal building and other facilities based on the glorious political life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
  • Cost estimation for construction and operation & maintenance
